What is DN1 visa?

Vietnam visa DN1 or business (commercial) visa symbol DN1, referred to as DN1 visa for short. It is a type of visa issued to foreigners entering Vietnam for the purpose of working with other enterprises and organizations with legal status in accordance with Vietnamese law (according to Clause 8, Article 8 of Law No. 51/2019/QH14).

Visa symbol DN1. Currently, foreigners can apply for a DN1 visa with the following periods:

1. DN1 Visa 1-3 months for single entry.
2. DN1 Visa less than 3 months for multiple entries.

Conditions for applying for a DN1 business visa

Foreigners need to fully meet the following conditions:

• Have a valid passport or international travel document as prescribed
• Having a company or enterprise with legal status in Vietnam guarantee
• Not falling into the cases of not being allowed to enter the country specified in Article 21 of Law No. 47/2014/QH13 (forced to leave Vietnam, forging documents,....)
• There are documents proving the purpose of entry (invitation letter,...) as the case may be.

Dossiers for procedures for applying for an entry official letter need to be prepared:

• The enterprise's National Public Service Portal account.
• Copy of passport of foreigner applying for visa
• Business registration license of the guarantor company
• Application for an entry letter for an NA2 foreigner
• Application for registration of company seal form N16
• Documents proving the purpose of entry: power of attorney, business invitation letter, ...
• And some other documents as required
• If the application for an official letter is approved, the Department of Exports will issue an entry letter to the sponsoring company. The sponsoring company needs to notify and send an entry letter to the foreigner to complete the procedures for issuing a DN1 visa.

• Visa application form according to the request form
• Original passport
• 02 portraits with white background, size 4x6cm
